The third son of Feanor, a great hunter and companion of Orome in Valinor. He kept the great hound Huan. His treachery against Beren and Luthien, when he imprisoned Luthien in Nargothrond hoping to force her into marriage, was among the darkest deeds of the sons of Feanor. He was slain in the Second Kinslaying at Doriath.
