The hidden fortress-city of Finrod Felagund, delved into the banks of the river Narog in the manner of Menegroth. From it Finrod went forth to fulfil his oath to the house of Barahir, and never returned. Under Orodreth the city took the counsel of Túrin to fight openly, and built a great bridge over the Narog — by which the dragon Glaurung came, sacked the city, and laid his hoard within it until Túrin slew him at Cabed-en-Aras.
