Also known as: The Hill Of Himring
Himring, the Ever-cold, was a great bare hill in the east of Beleriand upon which Maedhros, eldest son of Feanor, built his chief stronghold, holding the wide gap that was the easiest road for Morgoth's armies. From Himring the sons of Feanor and their allies kept watch over the north; it held even after the Dagor Bragollach broke the Siege of Angband, but fell at the last in the ruin of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad.
