Also known as: The Forest Of Brethil
Brethil was the forest of birches that stood between the rivers Sirion and Teiglin in Beleriand, the home of the Haladin, the Second House of the Edain, who guarded its eaves against the Orcs. It was a land much fought over in the wars against Morgoth; and there Turin Turambar came in his last wandering, and slew the dragon Glaurung above the gorge of Cabed-en-Aras, and there met the bitter end of his doom.
