The fifth son of Feanor and the one most like his father in both skill and temperament. Curufin was a great smith and the father of Celebrimbor. He and his brother Celegorm attempted to forcibly prevent Luthien from seeking Beren, desiring to use the quest's failure to claim power. Their villainy was thwarted by Huan, Celegorm's own hound, who chose Luthien's cause over his master's.
