The fifth son of Fëanor and the one most like his father in both skill and temperament. Curufin was a great smith and the father of Celebrimbor. He and his brother Celegorm attempted to forcibly prevent Lúthien from seeking Beren, desiring to use the quest's failure to claim power. Their villainy was thwarted by Huan, Celegorm's own hound, who chose Lúthien's cause over his master's.
