Bregolas was the elder son of Bregor and a lord of the House of Beor, who held lands in Dorthonion under the High King Fingolfin. He was the father of Baragund and Belegund, and so grandfather of Morwen Eledhwen and Rian -- the mothers of the Children of Hurin and of Tuor. Bregolas fell with a great part of his people in the Dagor Bragollach, the Battle of Sudden Flame, when the fires of Morgoth broke the long Siege of Angband.
