Bregor was a lord of the House of Beor, among the first Men to enter Beleriand. He was the father of Bregolas and Barahir -- and so grandfather of Beren Erchamion through Barahir, and forefather of the line that would wed into the kindred of the Elves. Through his two sons the House of Beor was divided into the elder line of Bregolas, which fell in the Dagor Bragollach, and the line of Barahir, which endured in hardship and gave to the Elder Days their greatest tale of love.
