Also known as: Lord Of Lorien, The Wise
A Sindarin Elf of Doriath, husband of Galadriel, and co-ruler of Lothlorien. Celeborn was of the kin of Thingol and noble among the Sindar. Though less prominent in the tales than his wife, he was a skilled leader and warrior. He counseled the Fellowship when they came to Lorien and provided them with boats and supplies. After the War of the Ring and Galadriel's departure, Celeborn remained for a time in Middle-earth, dwelling in Rivendell. Eventually he too grew weary and sailed West.
