Also known as: The White City, Minas Anor, The Tower Of Guard, The City Of Kings
The City of Kings, capital of Gondor, built in seven walled circles rising up the knee of Mount Mindolluin, each gate facing a different direction so no enemy could charge straight to the summit. Originally Minas Anor, Tower of the Sun, it was renamed Tower of Guard when Minas Ithil fell to the Nazgûl. In its Court of the Fountain grew the White Tree. The city withstood the greatest siege of the age in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, its gate broken by Grond but never passed; there Aragorn was crowned King Elessar, and the White Tree bloomed again.
