Lebennin, the Land of Five Rivers, was a rich and fair province of Gondor between the White Mountains and the mouths of the Anduin, watered by five streams running down to the sea. Long harried by raids of the Corsairs of Umbar, its people could not march in full strength to the muster of Minas Tirith; but after Aragorn took the Corsairs' ships at Pelargir, the men of Lebennin and the southern fiefs manned them and came up the river to the Battle of the Pelennor Fields.
