The third son of Finwe and Indis, and the only one of the Noldorin princes to turn back during the rebellion and return to Valinor. He became High King of the Noldor who remained in Aman. He is the father of Galadriel, Finrod Felagund, Orodreth, Angrod, and Aegnor. He led the Vanyar and remaining Noldor in the War of Wrath against Morgoth.
