Also known as: Indis Of The Vanyar
Indis was a lady of the Vanyar, close kin of Ingwe the High King of all the Elves, and golden-haired as her people were. After the death of Miriel she became the second wife of Finwe, and bore him two sons, Fingolfin and Finarfin, and two daughters, Findis and Irime. From her the younger houses of the Noldor took something of the fairer colouring and gentler temper of the Vanyar. Feanor never loved her nor her children, holding that his father's second marriage slighted the memory of his mother, and the coldness between the half-brothers was a wound in the House of Finwe that Melkor would work to widen.
