Also known as: Eomund Of Eastfold
Eomund was the chief Marshal of the Mark and warden of its eastern borders, a bold and headstrong rider of Rohan. He wedded Theodwyn, sister of King Theoden, and they had two children, Eomer and Eowyn. Ever pursuing the Orcs that raided across the borders, Eomund was at last drawn into an ambush and slain; and when Theodwyn died soon after of grief and sickness, their orphaned children were taken into the king's house at Edoras and raised as Theoden's own.
