Also known as: Meduseld, The Golden Hall
The seat of the Kings of Rohan, a hill-town crowned by Meduseld, the Golden Hall, whose roof of thatched gold can be seen far across the plains. Built by Brego son of Eorl, it has heard the songs of the Mark for five hundred years. There Gandalf broke Saruman's hold over Théoden and cast Wormtongue out; from its gate the king rode to Helm's Deep, to the Pelennor, and home at last to his fathers' mounds.
