Also known as: Théodwyn
Sister of King Théoden of Rohan and mother of Éomer and Éowyn. She married Éomund, the Chief Marshal of the Mark, and they lived in the Eastfold. When Éomund was slain pursuing Orcs, Théodwyn fell ill with grief and died shortly after, leaving her two young children orphaned. Théoden took them into his own household and raised them as his own. Her early death shaped both her children profoundly: Éomer's fierce hatred of Orcs and Éowyn's sense of vulnerability and longing for honor both trace back to the loss of their parents.
