Also known as: Dain Ii, King Under The Mountain
Lord of the Dwarves of the Iron Hills and cousin of Thorin. He fought as a young Dwarf at the Battle of Azanulbizar, where he slew the great Orc Azog. He brought an army to the Battle of Five Armies, turning the tide. After Thorin's death, he became King under the Mountain and ruled wisely for many years. He fell in the War of the Ring defending Dale alongside King Brand.
