The Flame of the West: Narsil reforged by the smiths of Rivendell for Aragorn as the War of the Ring began, traced with seven stars, a crescent moon, and a rayed sun, and runes of victory. The sword that cut the Ring from Sauron's hand went to war against him again — at Helm's Deep, on the Paths of the Dead, and before the Black Gate. No other blade so plainly declared its bearer: the sword reforged meant the King returned.
