Three Stone-trolls encountered by Thorin's company in The Hobbit. They captured the Dwarves and debated how to cook them. Gandalf imitated their voices to keep them arguing until dawn, when the sunlight turned them to stone. Their petrified forms were later found by the Fellowship on the road to Rivendell. Bilbo acquired Sting from their hoard.
