Also known as: Oiolosse, Mount Everwhite
The Holy Mountain of the Valar, highest peak in all the world, called Oiolossë — Everwhite — by the Elves. Upon its summit stand the halls of Manwë and Varda, from which the King of the Valar sees farther than any other eyes and the Lady of the Stars hears the cries of those in need. It is to Varda upon Taniquetil that the Elves of Middle-earth sing — and Sam, without knowing what he invoked, called on Elbereth in Shelob's lair.
